Facilities and Directions

Wheeler Center | 110 Wimmer Circle

Built in 1969, the Wheeler Center is named after longtime Belmont Abbey College Coach and Athletic Director, Howard "Humpy" Wheeler.

The Wheeler Center houses the athletic administration and serves as the home for Crusader men's and women's volleyball and men's and women's basketball and wrestling.

On the main floor is the Athletic Training room, administrative offices and locker room facilities. The bottom floor contains the weight room, visiting locker rooms and coaches offices. The third floor houses coaches offices.

Directions to Belmont Abbey College:

From Spartanburg / Greenville and Atlanta: Take I-85 North into North Carolina. Take Exit 26 to the light and turn left (McAdenville Rd). At next light, turn left on Belmont – Mt. Holly Rd. For Baseball and Softball, turn right into main entrance, turn right at Basilica (Wimmer Circle). Follow Wimmer Circle to ballpark. All other sports should turn left in front of Basilica and follow to bus parking spot beside the Reidy Tennis Facility.

From Hickory, NC: Take US 321 South to I-85 North. From there, take Exit 26 to the light and turn left (McAdenville Rd). At next light, turn left on Belmont – Mt. Holly Rd. For Baseball and Softball, turn right into main entrance, turn right at Basilica (Wimmer Circle). Follow Wimmer Circle to ballpark. All other sports should turn left in front of Basilica and follow to bus parking spot beside the Reidy Tennis Facility.

From Greensboro, NC: Take I-85 South to Exit 26. At Exit 26, turn left at light (Belmont – Mt. Holly Rd). For Baseball and Softball, turn right into main entrance, turn right at Basilica (Wimmer Circle). Follow Wimmer Circle to ballpark. All other sports should turn left in front of Basilica and follow to bus parking spot beside the Reidy Tennis Facility.

From Columbia, SC: Take I-77 North to Exit 1B. Take I-485 West to Exit 10. At Exit 10, merge to I-85 South. Take I-85 South to Exit 26. At Exit 26, turn left at light (Belmont – Mt. Holly Rd). For Baseball and Softball, turn right into main entrance, turn right at Basilica (Wimmer Circle). Follow Wimmer Circle to ballpark. All other sports should turn left in front of Basilica and follow to bus parking spot beside the Reidy Tennis Facility.
